please let us know what methods give you the best coverage when using colorescience, we’d love to hear it!
sS currently sells the colorescience pro pressed mineral compact foundation ($50 compact, $40 refill) & loose mineral foundation ($35) powders. the pressed makeup may be used as a foundation AND concealer, simply by using different brushes (kabuki & concealer brushes are our faves) and/or sponges to achieve great coverage. the loose makeup foundation we decided to carry with the intention of it being mixed with your daily moisturizing spf – in order to create an acne-safe liquid makeup suitable for drier skins. colorescience’s ready-made liquid formula contains red marine algae, which has been proven in our clinic to be comedogenic. the “loose makeup + spf = acne-safe liquid makeup” recipe is our detour around their formulation.
we also carry a few select shades of their sunforgettables powder spf 50 brushes, and bronzers (that touch of mink, kissed by the sun) and blushes (blushing bride, apple of my eye) and a beautiful pearly highlighter shade (string of pearls). all brushes are $50 each, and it is recommended that you clean them regularly by using an alcohol based, tea tree and lavender essential oil brush cleaner. the essential oils offer natural antibacterial properties to keep brushes nice and fresh.
the sunforgettables powder spf 50 brushes offer the ultimate in sun protection for skins that are prone to skin cancers, sunburns, and hyperpigmentation. they are also a good substitute for truly oily skins that don’t need the moisturizing factor of our range of acne-safe sunscreens.
